Welcome to LIFT
What is it?
LIFT is a workout tracker for resistance strength training.
How does it work?
The essentials:
- Blocks
- A training block, also known as a mesocycle, is a training phase that typically involves a particular training program and can last from a few weeks to a few months.
- Workouts
- A workout is one training session an contains a number of exercises often divided into sets.
- Sets
- A set is a number (one or more) of repetitions performed
- Reps
- A rep or repetition is one lift done one time, or an exercise performed one time. Certain exercises, like farmer's walks, sled pulls, prowler pushes, heavy holds etc, don't easily lend themselves to the concept of repetitons, so for these it makes more sense to count one stretch of whatever distance or time as one rep.
- RPE
-
Rate of Perceived Exertion is a subjective rating of the
intensity of the work performed. The original Borg RPE scale
goes from 6 through 20, but for this implementation a scale-down
version going from 1 through 10 is used. It supports half points
to allow for values like RPE 9.5. RPE less than 6 is usually not
meaningful. The combination of reps and RPE is denoted as
reps@RPE.
The structure described above is reflected in the menu on the left.
